Management

H.O.P.E. is a a company limited by guarantee as of 1st April 2007. It is also registered as Scottish charity.  The directors are Cedric de Voil (Chairman), Peter Phillips, John Shearer, Alistair Stuart, Manliffe Goodbody, Joan Hawksworth and June Braithwaite (all appointed 1st December 2006). All the directors have relevant professional experience and meet regularly to make policy decisions about H.O.P.E..

The management committee meets about 10 times per year to oversee the the working of the garden and to plan various activities that are carried out. Our garden staff give a garden report at each of these meetings. Fund raising events are planned at this level.

The management committee has representatives from a social work background, Angus College, people with gardening knowledge and has a member with financial expertise. The trainees have a representative who takes an active role.

The members of the management committee are locally based and are actively involved in the garden and in the fund raising activities.

Once a year H.O.P.E. holds an annual general meeting which is open to the public. This usually takes place in the month of May.
