Chard

Chard is a leaf beet and is generally used like spinach. The distinctive white veins of the swiss chard or red veins of the ruby chard give it more body than spinach so it tends to be less mushy than spinach

Chard Stir-Fry

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves
400g chard or pak choi
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
juice and zest of half a lime

Method

Heat oil in pan and stir-fry garlic for 1 minute.

Add all of the greens and season to taste then stir to coat in oil for 2-3 minutes.

Add the lime juice, stir for one more minute and then serve as an accompaniment to any main course.
